Women + Leadership

Women + Leadership

“The world will never realize 100 per cent of its goals if 50 per cent of its people cannot realize their full potential. When we unleash the power of women, we can secure the future for all.” Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General 2015.

Let’s face it, there is a lot of talk about gender equality but how is it translating into action? We still have a severe lack of women in senior roles, a huge gender pay gap, and we still see discrimination in the workplace. So how can we cut through these statistics and create the change we want to see in the world?

At aile we are committed to delivering educational events to support women to step into their unique leadership potential. From interactive workshops to cutting edge summits, inspiring conference presentations, panel discussions and webinars – your leadership journey starts and continues with us.

We’ll inspire and guide you to step into your unique leadership energy, equip you with the skills and strategies to add value to your organisation, provide you with contemporary approaches to engage and create high performing teams, show you how to cultivate meaningful change for the future and work with you on strategies and approaches to secure your next career move.

Through our wellness + adventure programs we will also nurture your body, mind and powerful feminine spirit.

“Gender equality progress in Australia is in trouble. Despite Australia’s leadership in developing some of the best anti-discrimination legislative frameworks in the world, the current climate of bias and backlash is proving immune to regulatory control. Australian women and girls are failing to flourish as well as they should, particularly given our decade long world number one ranking in female education. – Virginia Haussegger AM

The Future – Australia 50/50 by 2030

We support Australia’s 50/50 by 2030 initiative. 50/50 by 2030 is a bold new gender equality initiative established by the Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis (IGPA), at the University of Canberra, Australia.

So, why ‘50/50’? Well, in a word – it’s time. And why the year 2030? Because, we’re running out of time. None of us can wait the 170 years the World Economic Forum estimates it will take to reach economic gender equality.

‘Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, “She doesn’t have what it takes.”’ They will say, “Women don’t have what it takes.”’
 – Clare Boothe Luce

The Future – UN Goal #5 Achieve Gender Equality and Empower all Women + Girls.

We also aspire to UN Goal #5.

While the world has achieved progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment, women and girls continue to suffer discrimination and violence in every part of the world.

Gender equality is a fundamental human right and a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.

Providing women and girls with, among other things,  equal representation in political and economic decision-making processes will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large.
